   Dr. Eppley received a Doctor of Medicine degree from Washington University in St. Louis as well as a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He completed training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Barnes Hospital, and additional training in Head and Neck Surgery at St. John’s Hospital while in St. Louis. He furthered his training in General Surgery, Craniofacial and Cleft Surgery as well as full training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Indiana University. As a result of his education, Dr. Eppley is both a licensed physician and dentist and double board-certified in two surgical specialities.

   Dr. Eppley has prominent international experience in the investigation and development of numerous technologic advances in plastic surgery. He has been the recipient of numerous National Institute of Health and private corporate research grants and studies for the evaluation of promising surgical technologies and implants. As a result, he has been awarded nine U.S. and international patents on biomedical technologies. His research and clinical efforts have resulted in extensive contributions to the surgical literature including over 225 journal articles and 35 book chapters. He has also co-authored two textbooks facial surgery entitled ‘Maxillofacial Trauma and Esthetic Facial Reconstruction’ and ‘Essentials of Maxillofacial Surgery’. He is a nationally and internationally sought after speaker on numerous plastic surgery topics. He has given over 200 presentations in 21 countries over the past 16 years.
